by request.

It's been kindly suggested that we update "our adoption journey...so far" video.

We are flattered to know visitors/friends continue to check in every now and then.... so it's been done.
Thank you for the kind request :)

Simply click the pinwheel picture in the left margin and it should come up.
Keep watching...It starts out the same but has been added to.

We graciously thank you for your prayers and expressions of support on this amazing journey.

And we will do our best to continue to keep you updated on our progress.

Our hearts are filled by the outpouring of your love to our family... Thank you!

phew.

Soccer Season Complete.
E. and J. had another great season of soccer!
This past weekend we spent cheering the two of them on at their last "jamboree" games.
E. played Saturday, in some pretty hot tempertures...
She was AWESOME.
And scored the only goal for their team in the second game.
Way to go, Sweetie!

J. played Sunday,
in misty rain.
but we were not complaining, though it was humid, the light rain & cooler temps made for easier playing conditions.
J. scored 1 time in his first game and
3 times in his second game.
Good Job, Sport!
Both E. and J. made some terrific improvements this year.
They are great ball handlers and much more confident.
We are very proud of you!!!

did we mention...?

time flies when your having fun

A month ago already, we celebrated beautiful E's 11th birthday!
E is a smilely, happy, selfless person, everyone loves to be around.

E has an infectious laugh & can't get enough rough house play with her Dad. We love you sweetheart!

Because her special day also included soccer practice, our celebration was low-key. E hopes to find time this Summer to see a movie with some friends to extend the fun.

our suburban window was fixed

just two days after the mower threw a rock through our truck window, it was repaired and good as new... yeah!

we are waiting but ok

on adoption news, we are still waiting for immigrations pre-approval to bring orphans home into our country. (this takes 60-90 days from fingerprinting, done March 31st)

upon immigrations approval we are set to send our dossier (official papers that puts us on the waiting list) to Ethiopia. and once again we will wait.

nothing bad has happened, just once again hit with the reality that everything happens in God's perfect timing... for that we rejoice.
(somedays are just harder than others to set aside the picture & timeline in your own head)

"For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways" , declares the Lord. "As the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts." Isaiah 55:8-9

It's the last week of school

the kids are excited for their Summer vacation! we are starting our break with swimming lessons, a garage sale this month, and hopes to do some camping!

this fall we will have a 7th grader, 6th grader, 1st grader, and a preschooler... Wow, exciting!

God's grace & love will strenthen us to persevre, trust, wait and live well.

heart.

my heart has been reminded today...

our adoption journey will not be quick or easy.

it will not happen in a picture perfect kind of way.

rather we will continue to experience much doubt, fear, waiting & even grief in the process.

we continue to long to know the child(ren) God intended for our family.

and our "child(ren)" unknowingly wait for the love and care of their forever family, on the other side of the world.

but no matter what the journey looks like or where it takes us, it remains our desire to be faithful & to give glory to God...

to trust in our Father and His sovereignty...and rest in Him and His plans for each one of us.

Please join us as we continue to pray...

and may your day be filled with His blessing.

"but those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they walk and not be faint." Isaiah 40:31
